I can't tell you how much I love coming across your amazing collaborations and creations with Wee Wander! Seriously now. It's baffling to me how much is going on in cottages and sewing rooms the whole world over, and I just get goosebumps when I come across your amazing work.

These photos are a collaboration of Little Lizard Designs who designs sewing patterns for children. Like this teepee for instance. Adorable! And these dresses. So much to play with!

Chasing Mermaids put together the photoshoot with the help of Claudia Blake Photography.

You can see the full post here with all the details of the shoot...patterns, products, etc.

Really you guys.  These fabric collections are created with so much effort. I can't even begin to tell you the all nighters, the take out, the piles of laundry, the messy studio, the creative blocks, and just the challenge of putting my heart in print. It's just such an incredible process. One that I actually love for how much it stretches me and pushes my creative vision. So when I see your projects and your passion behind these fabric collections, I can't tell you how much it warms my heart to see so many of you use this in such beautiful ways. I love seeing you get inspired, and I love seeing your creativity! Thanks so much! (Can you tell I'm under the wire for deadlines as I write this? I may or may not have a studio begging to be de-cluttered and a house aching to be laundry-pile free as we speak).

It's such an honor. Thank you!

And thanks again LLK for sharing!

Wee Wander Blog Tour: Pinwheel quilt & Pillow

It's Wednesday, and time for another fantastic Tutorial featuring the Wee Wander Fabric line!

Stacy, at Freshly Handmade, created this amazing quilt and pillow tutorial. I love the colors she chose, and the pinwheels in the sky. Are you getting inspired?

Her blog is amazing, and full of so much mouth watering loveliness. Her sense of color makes me want to lick the screen. Be sure to spend some time peeking through! She's done an amazing job on this quilt she designed, and I am thrilled to send you her way for this awesome downloadable pattern.

WEE WANDER BLOG TOUR: X-Large Floor Pillows

PILLOW-TUTORIAL.jpg

Hello and Happy Wednesday!

I've got a wonderful new tutorial for you on how to use the Wee Wander Fabric.

Two FREE TUTORIALS for x-large floor pillows. One round, and the other square.

Since Wee Wander has some pieces with lovely "landscapes" I knew I wanted to create something that showed off the tapestry of illustrations so children could get the full effect

IMG_0811-9.jpg

These pillows are big! Think Doggy Pillows. We originally designed them to fit perfectly underneath a child's Tee Pee. We purchased custom Teepee's from Tnee's Tpee's for our Quilt Market Booth.

Anders was only 2 months old, and no strollers or carseats were allowed on the Tradeshow floor. Only Babies in arms. I knew I couldn't hold him for 8 hours straight, 3 days in a row, so we designed the booth to have these awesome pillows in the Tee Pees so he could sleep in them. Most people thought he was a prop! It was pretty adorable:) And my arms were super happy too! And now I have these awesome pillows for the bigger kids to snuggle on. I love them!

Carissa at Carissa Miss designed the pillows: two pieces of Wee Wander for the pillow and the piping, 1 piece of coordinating Michael Miller Cotton Couture Solid fabric for the sides, and a hidden zipper along the bottom edge. You'll love these!

Head on over to CARISSAMISS's blog for the full tutorial.

Thanks Carissa for such a great project!

Happy sewing!

Wee Wander Blog Tour: Twin Quilt Pattern

lattice-quilt-image-web1.jpg

The projects are rolling in for the Wee Wander Blog Tour, and I'm so excited to share this twin quilt tutorial.

This is a super great FAT QUARTER project, that uses a single fat quarter stack of all my Wee Wander Prints. Emily Carr of Simple Girl Simple Life put this tutorial together, and you can see it here.

I love this quilt, and how all the prints go so well together. We even used the border print and it makes for such a magical, simple quilt!

Ella has this on her bed, and she loves to stare at all the pictures every night. It's SO hard it seems to get a decent picture of a large quilt! I've not yet mastered that!

Here is a collection of the fabrics so you can get a closer look:

Wee Wander Firefly Border Quilt

With the WEE WANDER fabric collection hitting stores this week, I'm so excited to start the Wee Wander Blog Tour!

Each Tuesday, I'll be featuring a FREE pattern and/or tutorial for you to create your very own Wee Wander inspired project.

Some of the projects are from my Quilt Market Booth. And some projects are completely new!

For our very first project, I'm featuring the Wee Wander Firefly Border Quilt. Amy Smart of Diary of a Quilter put this pattern together with me. I just love the small patchwork around this nighttime scene. This border print, like my other border prints, runs along the selvedge, with a mirror image on the other side with a big tall night sky between! There is so much to work with this print! If you look closely, you can see how I embroidered a little bit around some of the stars.

Here's an example of what the print looks like selvedge to selvedge so you can see how it works. I love that is leaves so much of the sky so you can really use large sections of it!

The full PDF Pattern is available below:

Have fun! And as always, I love to see your projects! Please feel free to share them on my PINTEREST BOARD and send an email to info@sarahjanestudios.com to receive an invite to post! Happy Sewing!

More Patterns and tutorials are coming weekly! Dresses, decor, quilts....stay tuned!
